With more than 20 years’ experience in global teleconferencing, entrepreneur Jeff Downs co-founded Redback in 2007 after arriving from Canada with a plan to offer web and audio conferencing via a single platform.

 

He built Redback into the largest digital events and conferencing provider in Australia by offering customers, a combination of simplicity, seamless connections and outstanding customer service.

 

Jeff is the visionary leader of Redback, responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and driving business growth in the rapidly changing world of corporate communications.

 

He is just as passionate about the cultural development of Redback and providing a harmonious workplace for the Redback team while delivering against its core values of customer-centricity, excellence and accountability.

Peter Matsumoto

CTO

Peter is one of Redback’s founders and a serial entrepreneur.

 

Peter has played key roles in start-ups including Vector Videoconferencing, Enunciate Conferencing and Resolve Collaboration to name a few.

 

With more than two decades in the international teleconferencing industry, Peter is responsible for product development and technical delivery.  He is passionate about developing technologies that enhance the way people communicate across distance.

 

Sara Gonzalez

General Manager, Digital Events

Sara manages the fast-growing digital events arm of Redback, which runs over 150 managed webinars monthly for corporate, government and not-for-profit customers.

 

After joining Redback more than a decade ago, she works closely with sales, marketing and delivery to provide organisations with frictionless, seamless events that take the stress out of their online programs and increase the overall production quality.

 

An accomplished on-camera presenter herself, Sara also oversees Redback’s consultancy services, which assists customers to improve event marketing, engagement levels, attendance and production values.
