The Pyjama Foundation
The Pyjama Foundation was founded in 2004 to give children in foster care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills, and confidence. Through a simple program known as the Love of Learning program, volunteers are called Pyjama Angels are matched with a child in care, and spend just one hour a week focusing on learning based activities.
Imagine the simple action of walking becoming so difficult only because your eyesight doesn’t allow you to perceive the world in the same way everybody else’s does. This is just one of the impacts of Cone-Rod Dystrophy, a degenerative eye disorder which affects 1 in 30,000 people globally. Therefore Coins for Cones are raising money for research into viable cures, pioneered by the Save Sight Institute and the University of Sydney.
Helping Hand is a not-for-profit organization offering help at home, retirement living and residential care to over 7,000 older South Australians in Adelaide and regional South Australia. We value independence, choice, freedom and quality of care. We enable our clients, carers and their families to live their lives to the full. We make people feel at home; in our residential homes, in their own home and in their workplace.
From the very beginning, Redback has recognised the importance of being a responsible corporate citizen and looked for ways to support Australian organisations, community groups and the environment.
By their very nature, our Collaboration and Digital Event services promotes meeting at a distance reducing the environmental impact of corporate travel. We’re also believers in going digital to be more carbon-friendly and giving back to those who support those less fortunate.
We’re dedicated to reducing emissions, pollutants, and waste. Take a walk through our offices and you will even notice our living wall of green plants installed to absorb airborne pollutants. Energy efficient lighting, reduced paper use, controlled heating and AC are all ways for us to do our part.
At Redback, we encourage our employees to volunteer their services to charitable organisations and offer them two days per year to work at a charity of their choice.
Assisting women to return to the workforce, supporting the training of assistance dogs for the blind, mentoring socially isolated young people and volunteering to run community sports programs – these are are just some of the ways the Redback team gives back to the community.
The Redback Charity Spotlight Program
Redback acknowledges and values the contribution the charitable sector makes to Australian and New Zealand society. All registered charities receive a 10% discount on Redback services and have the opportunity to market their services to our highly engaged community via our educational webinar series.
The Redback Charity Spotlight is a regular initiative which allows us to generate exposure and create awareness for charitable groups. Anyone who attends one of our online events or downloads our content is automatically given the chance to vote for one of four nominated charitable organisations.
At the end of each quarter, we tally up the votes and make the following donations on your behalf.
